Reiki (ray-key) developed in Japan over 100 years ago. It is a band of energy frequencies that exist throughout the universe and means “universal life force”. It is an energy balancing system that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety and aids the body’s natural healing process through gentle touch by balancing the body’s energy field and energy centers known as chakras. It works on the entire self - mind, body, spirit and emotions. Reiki intends to put the body in its optimal state to promote it’s own energy healing, thus helping to balance the spirit, relieve pain, and promote well-being. Reiki can interact with living beings and crystalline structures.
Crystals were formed millions of years ago within the earth. Their crystalline structure and chemical composition transmit and amplify energy. Different crystals are able to work on specific conditions or problems while helping to restore a state of balance and harmony. They assist in cleansing the chakras and help to balance the body’s energy system. They provide healing energy on their own, but when used in conjunction with Reiki, they add an extra healing element by helping to release emotional, mental or spiritual blocks. The healing powers of Reiki and crystals together produce powerful results.
Reiki is not a substitute for the consultation of a physician or psychotherapist. It complements other types of medical and therapeutic treatments and can increase the efficacy of other types of healing. It complements all other Healing Modalities. Reiki practitioners act as a conduit between you and the source of the universal life force energy. The energy flows through the practitioner’s hands to you. Reiki possesses it’s own intelligence. The patient determines the energy flow from the practitioner’s hands by taking only what they need. It works different for every person and every condition. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions, nor do they prescribe medicine or perform medical treatment.
The Singing Bowls we use are handmade in Kathmandu, Nepal. In addition to their traditional use for meditation, they are used both for clearing and balancing energy frequencies of the body, mind and spirit. They are made of different alloys and metals in different sizes to produce different sounds and vibrations, stimulating stress relief and can affect the physical body to bring you through different stages of brainwave activity.
We use a variety of different Mala Beads and also make them specific to clients' healing needs. We don't necessarily use them in the traditional sense. The one used most frequently for healing are the 108 Antique Bodhi Seed mala we got from Kathmandu, Nepal. They are over 1000 years old and have done wonders in our healing work.
