I get this question more often than one would think and thankfully, this answer is no :)
In energy, there is no time and space. As humans, we experience time and space differently than how it actually exists. We live in a linear timeline and with any kind of Reiki energy, we transcend space and time because it is energy. With the use of the “distance symbol” that Reiki practitioners are attuned to, we are able to call-in and then send energy across time and space. We are all connected; we are all made of energy and part of a larger whole. This allows a Reiki practitioner to connect to the energy field of the recipient. We all have access to the life force energy that flows through every living being. Distance Reiki is just one of the ways to connect and channel this energy for the healing benefit of all living beings. Distance Reiki also allows for a practitioner to give Reiki to someone who lives far away, even in another country/time zone. To put it into perspective; you can love someone in a different state or country and yet, you can feel that person’s energy wherever
The healing effects of the ancient symbols and Master Reiki Energy in each art piece last for all of eternity. It doesn't fade away with time or number of people looking at it. If a piece is still in existence and being looked at 2000 years from now, anyone looking at it would still receive the healing they need. Two people looking at one piece at the same time will yield different healing for each individual. If the same person looks at one piece over and over again, they may receive different healing every time they look at it...whatever healing is needed in that moment is what they will receive.
